Everest Trekking Region

Everest Region Trekking
The Khumbu Region, which is also known as the Everest Region, offers an unparalleled beauty to visitors. This region is home to innumerable mountains, including Mount Everest (8,848m), Mera peak 6476m), Island peak (6183m), Pokalde peak (5806m) and many more. The floral and faunal diversity found in this region is additional attraction for tourists.
Solu Khumbu is justifiably famous, not only for its proximity to the world’s highest mountain (8848 metres), but also for its Sherpa villages and monasteries. The primary goal of an Everest trek is the Everest base camp at an elevation of about 5340 metres. But you cannot see Everest from the base camp, so most trekkers climb Kala Pattar, an unassuming 5545-metre bump on the southern flank of Pumori (7145 metres).
Other than the problem of access, the other major complication to an Everest trek is the high likelihood of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS). This potentially deadly disease, commonly known as altitude sickness, is caused by climbing too quickly to a high elevation. Be sure to read the section on mountain sickness in the Health & First Aid chapter if you are planning an Everest trek. If you suffer symptoms of altitude sickness and cannot go to base camp, you can still make a worthwhile trek to less ambitious destinations such as Namche Bazaar, the administrative headquarters of the Khumbu region; Khumjung or Thami, more typical Sherpa villages; or Tengpoche Monastery. From Tengpoche you will have an excellent view of Everest and its more spectacular neighbour Ama Dablam (6856 metres).

1.Everest Base Camp Trekking

Everest Base Camp Trekking is the trekking that leads you to your long waited worldly renowned destination, Everest base-camp to experience Mt. Everest, even if you don’t like to take the risk of climbing this top of the world. Mount Everest attracts the adventurous hearts and appreciators of beauty for its grandeur position of being the top of the world. Kalapatthar, the destination and Everest base-camp offers breathe taking of view of Mount Everst along with Lhotse and Nuptse. Amadablam, Pumori, Labuche, Pheriche, Thamserku, Island, Makalu and Kanchanchenjungha offer other most attractive views.
We fly to Lukla (2827meters) with spectacular views of the mountains and ascend through the Dudh Koshi valley to the Sherpa settlement of Namche Bazaar (3440meters), an unofficial capital of the Sherpas. Walking through the lovely forest and traditional Sherpa villages to the world’s renowned and sacred monastery of Thyangboche (3867meteres) is rewarded with the views of Everest soaring behind Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama-Dablam, Kangtega and Tawache peaks. On our way to Lukla culturally rich Sherpa village of Khumjung, exhibits the Sherpa life style and is the home of Yeti scalp.
